കാസർഗോഡ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയായി പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങി
കാസർഗോഡ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് കൊവിഡ് ആശുപത്രിയായി പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങി. ദിവസം കൊണ്ടാണ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിനെ കോവിഡ് ചികിത്സാ കേന്ദ്രമായി പരിവർ‍ത്തിപ്പിച്ചത്. ആദ്യ ഘട്ടത്തിൽ കോവിഡ് രോഗബാധിതർ‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഇരുന്നൂറോളം കിടക്കകളും പത്ത് ഐസിയു കിടക്കകളുമാണ് തയ്യാറാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. 100 കിടക്കകളും പത്ത് ഐസിയു കിടക്കകളും കൂടി ഉടൻ സജ്ജമാക്കും. ഏഴു കോടി രൂപയോളം വരുന്ന അത്യാധുനിക സംവിധാനങ്ങളാണ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്കെത്തിച്ചത്. കൂടാതെ ഇവിടെ കൂടുതൽ സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കുന്നതിന് കെഎസ്ഇബി പത്ത് കോടി രൂപ സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രതിബന്ധത ഫണ്ടിൽ നിന്നും വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
26 പേരടങ്ങുന്ന വിദഗ്ധ സംഘം തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിന്ന് കാസർഗോഡ് എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പതിനൊന്ന് ഡോക്ടർ‍മാർ, പത്ത് സ്റ്റാഫ് നഴ്സ്, അഞ്ച് അസിസ്റ്റൻ്റ് നഴ്സ് എന്നിവരാണ് സംഘത്തിലുള്ളത്. ഇവർ കോവിഡ് ആശുപത്രിയുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ഏകോപിപ്പിക്കുകയും ജീവനക്കാർ‍ക്ക് പരിശീലനം നൽ‍കുകയും രോഗികളെ ചികിത്സിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
One of the important news I would like to share with you today is that the new COVID-19 speciality center at Kasaragod Medical College has started its operation. It took four days to complete the conversion of the medical college block into COVID-19 treatment center. There are 200 beds and 10 ICU beds in the first phase. 100 more beds and 10 more ICU beds will be made ready soon. Rs. 7 crore has been spent so far to arrange the modern facilities for the hospital. KSEB has offered Rs. 10 core from its social responsibility fund to develop the hospital further.
A 26 member medical team including 11 doctors, 10 staff nurses, and 5 nursing assistants reached Kasaragod to coordinate the activities and train the staff for the treatment of COVID-19.
